CSRC Fundraiser “Margaritaville” Social Event

The Social Committee is busily planning our first social event fundraiser which will be held at the CSRC Pool on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 7:00pm until 11:00pm. Please plan on attending and showing your support. Open to members and non members. This is an adult party.

Mardi Gras, or “Fat Tuesday”, as others call it… but only Cricket Hill-style! We will have a pot-luck dinner, drinks and comaraderie from 6pm until ?

Moms and Dads with little ones, better leave your tykes with Aunt Maude, this one might get crazy.

DATE: 2/9/2013 (Sat 6:00PM – 11:00PM)
Host Home for the party!!! – You will need to provide a location, preferably indoors, for us to hold the party. The Social Committee will provide volunteers for set-up and clean up. All you need to do is provide the venue.

Event set-up (4) – Arrive at party location at 4:30-5pm to set up for the party. Bring any party supplies, decorations or paper goods that Amanda DeLong collects

Event Clean-up (4) – Help the venue host clean up after the event (or if the party gets late) during the course of the night. Return any large items to their owners and leftover party goods to Amanda DeLong for storage

Paper products: plates – need 100 plates, can be mardi gras colors, but doesn’t matter. Bring to Amanda DeLong

Paper products:cups (2) – 50-100 solo cups. Can be Mardi Gras colors. Bring to Amanda DeLong

Paper products: forks, knives, spoons (2) – 50-100 plastic forks, knives, spoons

Mardi Gras Decorations/Paraphenilia (2) – Anything you might already have from a previous party. Purple, green and gold things. (i.e. beads, streamers, balloons, a helium tank?, table decorations, etc.

Table Covers – Contact the party host (or Amanda DeLong) to find out how many table covers we need

Shop for any items not obtained by this sign-up – Two days before the party (Feb 7th) contact Amanda DeLong to find out what still needs to be donated

Appetizer/Dip/Small Plate/Salad (5) – Think of Foods that are typical in the NOLA

Main Dish/Something “Meaty”, like a Jambalaya or Casserole (8) – Think New Orleans, think Spicy… or if you don’t do Spicy, think Creole, shrimp, sandwich… can be really simple

Dessert, fruit or sweet (5) – Think bread pudding, bourbon pie, etc.

Non-Alcoholic Beverages (2) – Coke, Sprite, Diet Coke, Lemonade, bottled water, whatever

Ingredients for HURRICANES:) (5) – Juice, liquor, cherries, etc. for hurricanes

bag of ice (2) – Drop off at venue 30 minutes prior to party, please!
